Venk Reddy

Portfolio Manager & Chief Investment Officer

Venk founded Zeo in 2009. Prior to Zeo, he was a co-founder of Laurel Ridge Asset Management LP, a $400m multi-strategy hedge fund, where he managed the credit, distressed and event-driven portfolios. In that role, Venk specialized in asset valuation and identifying opportunities at the intersection of quantitative and fundamental analysis. In addition to his portfolio and investment committee responsibilities, he managed both the credit and technology teams and built the infrastructure underlying the fund’s scalable risk and analysis systems. Previously, Venk structured derivative products and was head of delta-one trading as a portfolio manager within Bank of America’s Equity Financial Products group (EFP). As one of the first traders hired, he was integrally involved in growing EFP from a startup operation to a business employing 215 people with annual revenues over $700m. Venk also managed investments in event-driven situations, convertible instruments and options at Pine River Capital Management LP and HBK Investments LP, where he started his career. Venk earned a BA in Computer Science with Honors from Harvard University. He currently serves as a trustee for the Katherine Delmar Burke School with roles on the finance, audit and technology committees.

Brad Cook

Brad Cook, CPA

Portfolio Manager & Director of Credit Research

Brad joined Zeo in 2012. He began his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Vancouver where he qualified as a Canadian Chartered Accountant with a focus on audit and bankruptcy before joining their London-based corporate finance group. He then served as a vice president and high yield credit analyst at Oaktree Capital Management Ltd, a top-tier European high yield bond fund in London. He also served as a Director and senior credit analyst at Descartes Capital LLC, a $300m hedge fund focused on high yield and convertible debt based in San Francisco. Immediately prior to joining Zeo, he was head of convertible strategies at Sterne Agee Group, Inc. and head of credit research in the convertible bond group at Thomas Weisel Partners LLC. In both roles, Brad focused on fundamental investments in corporate debt with an emphasis on company value and capital structure. Brad earned a BComm from the University of Calgary.

Director Investor Relations

Paige joined Zeo in 2014 where she manages business development, sales, client service and marketing. She joined Zeo from Fintan Partners, a credit-focused hedge fund platform, where she was on the institutional investor service team. Prior to Fintan, she was Vice President and Manager of investor relations at private equity firm, Blum Capital Partners. Before moving to San Francisco, she lived in New York and was Vice President and Manager of client service at Advent Capital Management, a convertible bond manager with long-only, closed-end mutual funds and hedged strategies. She started her career at Q Investments, a Texas-based multi-strategy hedge fund. She earned a BS in Communications Studies and a minor in Business Administration from Texas Christian University where she was a Chancellor Scholar and graduated magna cum laude. She served as the Education Chair of Northern California 100 Women in Finance for six years and is currently on the Selection Advisory Council for GreenLight Fund.

Idil Uralli

Business Operations Manager

Idil joined the team in 2011 where she manages the operations, design and marketing communications for Zeo. Prior to Zeo, she’s worked in the financial industry since 2004 as office manager and executive assistant for Orchid Asia Management and Joost Enterprises Corporation. She honed her graphic design and HR operational skills at DesignMind, a software company based in San Francisco. Idil started her career at Wells Fargo and later moved to Time Inc., working for Fortune and Time Magazine, respectively. She received her BA in Psychology and Art History from the University of California, Santa Cruz and continued her education at the University of California, Berkeley Extension program in Graphic Design.

Phillip Tran

Trade Operations and Systems Analyst

Phillip joined Zeo in 2017 where he manages the operational and trade systems infrastructure for the portfolio. He focuses on leveraging technological systems to maintain, automate, and optimize Zeo’s operations processes. Prior to joining Zeo, he worked as a business development associate at an augmented reality technology startup called WearX. At WearX, he was tasked with a multitude of business development, operations, and research responsibilities. Phillip received his BS in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley.
